Prophetic Checklist
What does a Prophet Look like?
Does he look like a wild man running around wearing camel hair clothes, a leather belt and eating locus and wild honey!
Ablsolutely not! He or she looks quite ordinary and propbably like you or me or your next door neighbor, or the clerk at the local convenience store.
Well, there are some things that really set them apart and will tip you off as to their identity.
1. Most prophets have a great desire to set the captives free!
2. Those called to prophetic ministry have a great desire to intercede for the lost and for the body of Christ and for those in need.
3. A prophet is usually a dreamer and is interested in other people's dreams.
4. Prophets have a burning desire to see the backsliders return to the church.
5. One with a prophetic calling desires to see the Body of Christ Equipped for ministry and rise up in their calling.
6. Prophets are unique and they are usually misunderstood.
7. Prophets usually suffer quite a bit of rejection early in life.
8. Those in Prophetic ministry can tend to be quite impulsive and swing the pendulum. One day they won't to go out and save the world and the next they don't even won't to get out of bed.
9. A Prophet always sees things in black or white or hot or cold.
10. A Prophet usually gets unconsious revelation.
11. A Prophet is a worshipper and if musically gifted can bring the anoiting without difficulty into a service.
12. A Prophet is the one who prefers to stay at the Church to organize a time of prayer rather than going out for street ministry.
These are only a few of the signs! Now ask yourself how many of these signs can you check off and that will give you a good idea as to whether you are called to be a prophet or to be involved in prophetic ministry.
