PROPHETIC CHECKLIST

Have you ever felt like the Lord spoke to you and said," you are called of God it is time for you to pick up your Mantle. I am calling you a prophet to the nations?"

Maybe you have been prophesied over that you were called to be a prophet?

Perhaps you just have a curiosity and are drawn to the prophetic?

WHAT DOES A PROPHET LOOK LIKE? Does he look like a wild man running around wearing woven camel hair clothes, a leather belt and eating locust and wild honey!

Absolutely, emphatically no! He or she probably looks quite ordinary much like your next door neighbor or your best friend, the clerk at the store. Probably pretty non-descript people make up the description of what a prophet looks like.

Well, what then are the things they really set them apart what are the identifying signs.

1. Most prophets have a great desire to set the captives free!

2. Those called to prophetic ministry have a great desire to intercede for the lost and for the body of Christ and for those in need.

3. A prophet is usually a dreamer and is interested in other people's dreams

4. Prophet has a burning desire to see the backsliders return to the church.

5. One with a prophetic calling desires to see the Body of Christ equipped for ministry and rise up in their calling.

6. Prophets are unique they usually are very misunderstood and suffer quite a bit of rejection beginning in childhood.

7. Those in Prophetic ministry can tend to be quite impulsive and thought by others to be rebels without a cause.

8. The prophet always sees things in either black or white or hot or cold until maturity!

9. A Prophet or one in prophetic ministry usually receive unconscious revelation.

10. A prophetic person is a worshiper! They usually are used in Music and if not just like to get under the anointing and stay there and really prefer worshiping the lord rather than hearing preaching or teaching.

These are only a few of the signs ! Now ask yourself how many of these signs can you check off and that will give you a good idea as to whether you are called to be a Prophet or be involved in prophetic ministry.
